Planting trees is fun especially when you do it with your family. Aside from leisure, planting trees is also a way of supporting and loving Mother Nature. But before you can even plant, make sure that you know the proper ways to plant a tree.

First of all, there are different variations of trees and therefore, you need to know the best season that your chosen tree will best grow. Generally, trees are best planted in the months of September to October. Planting trees in spring and summer season is not advisable because during summer, the heat will just stress out the plant and prevent it from growing. Another tip is when you can’t decide what type of tree to plant, consider the common trees in your surroundings. Choosing the same type of tree is easier to grow compared when you plant a rare tree in your area. This might affect the growth of your tree negatively.

Digging for a hole is also important. Before you even start digging, make sure you have surveyed the area from potential wire or cable to avoid them and inconveniences brought by your digging. Use proper tools only when digging.

If you bought a small plant that is already planted in a small pot, turn it upside down and slowly remove the tree then transfer it to the hole. But if you are planting a seed, make sure to grow it first in a pot before you even transfer it to a big ground hole.

Place the plant in the hole slowly. The hole should be just enough for the tree to be buried. Once it is placed properly, bury it with a healthy soil. Loam soils are best for planting so you can use it for your first attempt.
